Mothering Multiples

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Mothering Multiples Community! Please read the following agreement carefully before submitting your content for review, but don’t be intimidated by the term “agreement!” It is simply a way to ensure respect and formal/legal understanding. I have included rules, regulations, and general guidelines for the submission and publication of guest posts in order to keep everyone on the same page (pun intended). If you have any follow-up questions pertaining to the agreement, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

1. There’s no set rule on how many words your post should be, though a typical post may range from 500-1,500 words (not including the author bio).
2. All work submitted and/or published must be original. Copyright infringement and plagiarism are not allowed or accepted. Your content will be processed through Grammarly’s online plagiarism checker before consideration.
3. Submissions must not be self-promotional in nature.
4. Please ensure proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation in your content before submitting it for review. Submissions that are not easily readable or properly edited will be turned down.
5. Guest posts must not be previously published anywhere else online, including forums and social media websites.
6. By submitting your content, you acknowledge that your content, if published, will be used on Mothering Multiples indefinitely. You also acknowledge that it may be removed from Mothering Multiples at any time at my discretion.
7. Your guest post may include a succinct author bio. If a bio is not submitted, the post will be published without one. If selected, you may include a photo of yourself for your bio. This will be obtained by me before the final publication date.
8. A link to your website will be included in your bio as applicable and desired. Please include this link in the Guest Post Submission Form as indicated.
9. You are allotted 2-3 other links within the content of your post as long as they are relevant to the content itself. I will review all included links before publication and may remove them if I find that they do not adhere to this rule. Please note that an excess number of links will result in the rejection of your submission.
10. Please do not submit photos with your content. By submitting your article, you agree that a “Featured Image” will be used on Mothering Multiples to highlight your work. This photo will be chosen and/or personally taken at my discretion. 
11. Guest posts may be shared on social networking platforms used by Mothering Multiples in order to promote your guest post, including Pinterest. This will include a “Featured Image,” as described above (#9).
12. Throughout the submission and publication process, you will retain ownership of your content. You will always remain the owner of your written content. With that said, if selected for use on the blog, you agree to refrain from publishing your content elsewhere for at least 90 days after publication on Mothering Multiples out of courtesy. In other words, your post will be exclusively on the Mothering Multiples website for at least 90 days, after which you may post it elsewhere. 
13. Given that you retain ownership of your content, you acknowledge that Mothering Multiples is not to be held accountable or responsible for any lawsuits, claims, legal fees, or actions if they ever arise from your original written content.
14. If you share your post on any other platform, please include a link to the original publication on Mothering Multiples.
15. You will not receive compensation for your submission or your content in any way, at any time.
